In support of Arkansas and Authors and T-shirts, I do hereby offer up this kick ass contest for your summer enjoyment. I'm honored to be giving away a copy of "Crowned" by my good friend Julie Linker and of "Bite Me", by the fabulous Melissa Francis' as well as some very cool tees. Here's what you win!

JUNE: A copy of "Crowned" by Julie Linker and the T-shirt below, as well as an Arkansas Author goodie bag with bookmarks, tattoos, and more.

JULY: A copy of "You are so Undead to Me" by Me!, the shirt below, and a goodie bag.

AUGUST: A copy of "Bite Me" by Melissa Francis and the shirt below and a goodie bag.

HOW DO I ENTER? you may be asking yourself. Here's how you enter:

Leave a comment here or send me an email (stacey.jay.ya at gmail.com) and let me know how you get the word out about books you love. (Do you blog? Facebook? Myspace? Accost random people on the street to tell them about the pure Awesome of your latest read?) I want to know!

For an additional chance to win, blog about any one of the Arkansas Authors (or the Summer Reads and Tees Contest) and your name will be thrown in the pot again. (Post here or email me with the link to let me know you posted.)

And for yet additional chances to win, keep checking the blog for Super Entry days. I'll post a blog with the words "Super Entry" somewhere in the text. Be one of the first five to comment on the post and you'll be entered five times!!! Could I use more exclamation points!!! Probably, but I won't!!!

Winners announced at the end of each month. So let the entering begin.

Well... hate to go first but okay you've got me! :)

I have a bookblog here on blogspot called RhiReading (a little pun on my own name): http://rhireading.blogspot.com/

I love to talk about books and lately have been picking a theme each month for what I will focus my reviews on. For May it was young adult urban fantasy. Such a fun month it was for reading! And actually You Are So Undead to Me was one of my favorites that I reviewed. (http://rhireading.blogspot.com/2009/05/review-you-are-so-undead-to-me-by.html)

But I am a big word-of-mouth person too, I'll talk about books with anyone. I have a bad habit of talking to strangers in bookstores when I see them pick up a book I read and liked. hehe

Anyways... rambling here. Good luck with the contest everyone! And thanks for having it Stacey! :D

Hi Stacey!

I get word out via my blog Want My YA - http://www.wantmyya.blogspot.com

I've started something in an effort to bring in some interaction and have my readers feel some "ownership" in my blog. I've started putting up a poll on my blog with 5 books listed; the purpose of the poll is to determine which book my readers want to see me review next (after my publisher/author request reviews are done). You are So Undead to Me is in the current poll and it's in the lead! :)

I'm also a bookseller so I talk to my customers about my favorite books all of the time. And when I'm not there a lot of times I've got my favorites on display somewhere with "staff pick" tags on them. :)

I get the word out with my blog.
yathenaeum.blogspot.com

We post reviews, contests, author interviews, etc. all YA related and about the books we love.

Books also tend to be one of the things that I can talk for hours about and usually when I have nothing to say I start rambling about them with anyone who will listen or who likes some of the books I do. And if they like some of them, I tell them about others they would like as well.

Also, we posted about the contest in our The Week in YA here:

I Stacey,

We have a book club in Little Rock that gets together monthly. We don't pick a certain book to read so we just discuss anything new.

One of the members, Chris (aka Sandpanther) works at Books a Million in N Little Rock so he's always bringing us new books to check out. (Your's was one of them - I think you signed some books for them a few months ago maybe?)

Anywho that's where we mostly get the word out. If I'm in the store and see someone looking at a certain type of book (paranormal, Urband Fantasy, etc) I will also suggest author's that I truly love.

I love to read so I am always looking for good authors. I also have a blog that I post contests on when I find them. I will be adding yours. I also use twitter some for that. I have a myspace page but don't use it that often.

You and the other Arkansas writers are always welcome to stop by our meetings we would love to have you. We love to promote local authors.

Oh, please enter me. This is great.

Let's see though...I blog to get the word out about books, but before that I used to post stuff on my myspace.

I still post about certain books on facebook or myspace (depends on what and how I do it). I tell my friends about it and my sister, who loves to read too, and simply try and get whoever I can to read the book.

I'm big on moving books outwards or around at the bookstore so people can see the ones I love better. LOL

I talk about books I love to my friends and family. When I love a book I tell everyone that they have to read it. I have started trying to post more reviews on Goodreads. I have also started a blog which I hope to eventually start putting reviews and watch list for upcoming releases on.

Hi Stacey!

I met a great group of friends after joining a book club through Twilight Moms. We ALWAYS talk about the favorite books we've read and we are all on a site called goodreads, where we rate and talk about the books we've read and love. It's a great way to make book recommendations to friends. I also twitter and facebook the titles when I'm reading one that I love.

I have two ways I tell people about the books I love. The first of which is goodreads - which is a great book social networking website. Here's my profile:

I also just started a blog a few weeks ago and it's been a big success and a huge time commitment.

Thanks for running such a great contest!
